Not....Time.........Yet..............

Jellyfish, by Lieke Huiting at this sweet and lovely blog.  Isn't this gorgeous?

Hello again everybody.  I'm not QUITE ready to come back!  I'm going to take the rest of the summer off.  No, it's not what you think, I'm not lounging the days away in a deck chair and dozing with a nice book on my tummy.  No, I'm working quite alot!  On sewing and cleaning (some more) and plans for the rest of the year, and finishing my kitchen project.  I miss you already!  So I will be back at the end of August.

But not.  Just.  Yet!

Hope you all have been having a wonderful summer so far.  xo

Real Time

I have to get real and face up to the fact that I just need some time away from the computer!  I beat off the flu but so many little projects still preying on my mind/ambitions.  And come on, REALLY all of you lovely Euro bloggers on your vacations have me delirious with fantasy vacation distraction!

I'm going to take a couple of weeks off.   Thanks so much to everyone for your comments lately and welcome to the new followers.  So nice to have you.  There's plenty to see here, if you want to just click a label on the right.  I'll be back with some great stuff (I think)  I've been sitting on (for like months!) and we'll be having a new giveaway.

So until then mi lindos y lindas......besos!  Bises.  Kisses.  And yes, kitties with tails in your faces!

p.s. - before I go make sure to check out Janis' new shop, Bird Cafe here for her lovely block printed bags, lavender sachets and table runners..........

And ...... this weekend we lost three PEOPLE of soul and substance.

Betty Ford  - who thought that Republicans and Democrats once knew how to work together to make life better for the people who elected them and thought it was a GOOD thing.  She's my homegirl from Michigan and she is going back there.  And she was very brave + real = cool.

Manuel Galban - video here; the music makes the hairs stand up on the back of neck, Cuban guitarist

Facundo Cabral - Argentinian folk singer and hero; "I am not from Here, I am not from There" (video) should be my theme song

Nouvelle Decouverte - Bella Foster

I've finally had to admit it,  I've come down with something!  (Flu?)  How does that work, in the beginning of July?  Good news is, it's giving me a chance to have a wander around the web.  (Because I have been bad about visiting.)  And a chance to find new things.

She is a Brooklyn, NYC artist, in the vein of Matisse and the Nabis (Bonnard, Vuillard)  I like her loose style, her vivid colors, her Selby style (she does paintings of other peoples' spaces see here) bleeding into abstraction.  Check out her website here:  Bella Foster

Have a lovely, lazy summer weekend all!

Friday Flowers

My little jobs are keeping me pretty close to home.

I have to admit to verging on being screamingly bored.

Here's what I've got for relief.

There's not a great deal being grown over here at Passage Paradis

But what is, I'm quite pleased with.

There's been a bit more TLC lavished on these guys this summer.

Which has generally been nicely rewarded.  Two further words about it all:  FISH EMULSION!

Summer and Sweetness

I took all these pictures the same week I was painting the kitchen.

Does it happen to you that doing boring home improvement jobs around the house

makes everything else look sweeter, shinier

more colorful and sunnier?

Oh it does for me!
